Industrial Revolution :: essays research papers
The Industrial Revolution started in the 1700s and was a extensive timeperiod in the history of earth. It paved the way for much efficient industriesand was the first step towards urbanization.Great Britain, a intumescent cracker-barrel society, had many farms. Farming took a lotof time out of the sidereal day of the people they needed to invent something moreefficient to work on their farms. Jethro Tull invented the seed drill and theplough. The seed drill increased the percent of seeds that germinated, it put them out equally instead of the old method of taking a handful ofseeds and throwing them all everyplace the field. The plough turned the dirt over tobe able to use the nutrients under the old discerp. Another inelegant inventorwas Charles Townshend. He thought up the idea of the four crop rotationinstead of the one in use at that time, the collar crop rotation. In this way, theyhad both crops to feed their livestock, which increased the nutrients in the soil, and the y had two basic crops to feed themselves. The Industrial Revolution took place in Britain because of the largerural societies. After those main agricultural inventions, the plough and seeddrill, the farmers precious more land. They were only given a small square onwhich they could farm. The farmers that wanted more land received it, andtherefore made a prosperous living. But the workers who were still on thesmall pieces of land couldnt make as good as a living uniform the farmers withthe queen-sized fields. This put them out of a suppose, which was ironically another bigstep in the Industrial Revolution. The out of work farmers, needing a job to survive, found work atfactories being built by monied land owners. These factories were placed invery significant spots, by rivers.
